EJ Ajax owes its success to the hard work and dedication of our workers. We take the time to recognize, reward, and celebrate that success together.
Safety Incentive
To reward support of the company's safety culture, the company pays an annual incentive equal to half the company's savings in workers' compensation rates. The bonuses are handed out at the annual holiday party, where each worker is also recognized with a sticker that shows how many years he or she has worked without a lost-time incident. These recognitions are proudly received and displayed.
We always say, "Professionals don't get hurt on the job."
—Neng Yang
Safety is the most important thing to me. Everyone gets along better because safety is the goal. Each and every one of us participates.
—Dennis Spencer
Annual Fishing and Golf Outing
Once a year, all employees travel to Izaty's Lodge in Brainerd for a morning of fishing followed by lunch and an afternoon round of golf. Prizes are awarded for biggest, smallest, and most fish caught, golf shot closest to the hole, low score, and more.
In four years, I've never caught a fish, but I did win closest to the hole in golf.
—Neng Yang
Horseshoe Tournament
The EJ Ajax parking lot is the site of an annual cookout and horseshoe tournament for employees.
We shut down for an hour and a half on the clock and play horseshoes and have hamburgers and brats on the grill. It's nice to have camaraderie. We spend a lot of time here. It's nice to know the folks we're working with.
—Richard Weyandt
Holiday Party
Families are invited to the annual holiday party. Spouses are grateful for the company's culture, which brings loved ones home safely.
